Edward A. Rush, 65, of Fishers, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Hamilton Trace of Fishers. He was born on November 15, 1954 in Elwood, Indiana to Ernest S. and Genevieve L. (Pratt) Rush who preceded him in death.
Edward began his career as a tool and die maker and worked at Anderson Tool. Later, as a self-taught machine designer, he worked as a mechanical engineer in automotive design and robotics for machine assembly systems. Most recently, Edward was employed by Selco Engineering, Indianapolis; Clark Engineering, Fishers; and Capital Industries, Shelbyville. He enjoyed playing guitar and woodworking, and built a guitar and telescope. Edward loved going to the beach particularly Orange Beach, Alabama, Lido Key, Florida and St. George Island. His other hobbies were photography, painting, and working in his garden.
Edward is survived by his companion of 20 years, Katrina Blackwell; sister, Laura Jo Short and brother, Danny Rush both of Alexandria; daughter, April Scott of Richmond; as well as several grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road in Fishers, with visitation from 11:00 am to the time of service.
