Flora Zahig Krikorian, of Fishers, IN and previously of Columbus, IN, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020. She was born on May 22, 1939 to Hagop and Naomi Ehramjian in Aleppo, Syria.
Flora and her husband Jack left their families and belongings and came to the United States in 1969 to provide a better home for their children and brought up their family in Columbus, IN.
Flora had many hobbies and interests including gardening, cake decorating, and floral arranging. She was a master with a needle and did elaborate embroidery, crocheted, needlepoint and sewed. Her ability as an exceptional seamstress led to owning her own alterations business for over 30 years. She was an avid cook and showed her family love through her special Armenian meals. Flora was also a member of the Fishers Newcomer's Club.
Flora’s passion in life was her four granddaughters. She doted on them and they all adored her. She was often called “Mother Queen” by her granddaughters and she referred to all of them as her “Pooks.” And, every conversation between them ended with “Love You, Love You” because one “Love You” just wasn’t enough.
She is survived by her son, Vache (Carmen) Krikorian; daughters, Seta (Scott) Frantz, and Rita Harding; and her grandchildren, Riley Harding, Hannah Harding, Madison Frantz, & Leyna Krikorian.
In addition to her parents, Flora was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jack Krikorian; and brothers, Edward Ehramjian and Vartkes Ehramjian.
A private family burial will be held at Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus, IN. Flora’s care has been entrusted to Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary.
